Whether you arrive for a casual lunch or an easygoing dinner, the rhythm here encourages relaxed conversation and savoring every bite.

The heart of Rico's lies in its sincere approach to Mexican and Latin American cuisine, where traditional dishes come to life with fresh ingredients and attentive preparation. It’s a place where the comforting aroma of slow-cooked meats, vibrant chiles, and freshly made guacamole subtly fills the air, creating a sense of anticipation that feels both homey and special. The friendly service often feels personal — like being guided by someone who genuinely wants you to discover the best from the kitchen and enjoy your experience fully.

Sharing a meal here is about more than crossing off menu items; it’s about the unhurried joy of tasting dishes where each element feels carefully considered. Chips arrive warm and seasoned just right, accompanied by salsa and a creamy cheese sauce that sets the tone for what’s to come. Patrons often linger over flavorful plates that balance familiar comfort with satisfying spice and boldness, perfectly paired with a refreshing margarita or a cold beer. The smaller dining room, with its understated decor, helps forge a sense of connection between guests and staff, emphasizing local feel over flash.

For those who appreciate attentive service alongside genuine food, this grill offers moments of thoughtful care — whether it’s a chef’s recommendation or a warm smile at the door — making every visit feel less like a transaction and more like an invitation. Rico’s doesn’t rush its guests, allowing time for steady, relaxed enjoyment of good food and simple pleasures.

I have eaten at Mexican restaurants in many states and countries and must say that this was the best Mexican dinner I have ever had anywhere!!! Service by Lola was outstanding and our meals were delicious!!! My husband's Pollo Azteca and my chicken and chorizo with cheese sauce were both meals we can't wait to order again!!!

I dropped in for a late lunch, and was rewarded with a very good meal and margarita. It's a smaller dining room, nicely decorated. I had the all-day $8 large frozen margarita, along with a ground beef burrito, beans and rice. I will return for the dinner menu in the future.

If I could give 10 stars I would!! THIS PLACE WAS SOOO GOOD it was our first time here, we came around 4:00pm est to beat the dinner crowd, it’s very clean, warm, and inviting. We were seated right away, chips and salsa fresh and seasoned well with a cup of cheese sauce (fresh). I ordered the carne asada street tacos YUM! You can tell it is fresh to order and the steak was juicy and not dry. My son had traditional beef tacos (4) and they also were supper fresh! I LOVE the decor here beautifully decorated with warm inviting bar. We will be back! GRACIAS!!! And the bill was only 33.52!!! Not bad when our usual spots are 40 and up. Thank you for the great service also ! Nelly was wonderful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I Want to Extend a Special Kudos to Melis!!! I delivered a meal to a door dash Customer tonight and the food smelled so amazing, I inquired about the taste and my customer recommended the taquitas. I called immediately and explained I'd never been to Rico's Mexican Grill before and wanted something with chicken and veggies. Melis patiently took my order and recommended fajitas. She was kind, caring, meticulous and I could tell she was smiling over the phone. Once I arrived, she knew it was me as she smiled and made my visit personable. This is what I call "World Class Customer Service" and the type of service that makes me want to come back. All for $20, I received tostitos, salsa, a salad, rice and beans, 2 fajitas and a huge bowl of grilled, seasoned chicken with caramelized onions. I'm gonna introduce you'll to my family and refer others..Thanks Melisssssss for your warm welcome and to the chef(s), I Absolutely Loved It!

We had a minor issue with the service but the food and atmosphere made up for it. The only reason there aren’t food pictures is because I was too busy eating it. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. Margaritas were very good as well. We will be back

Was in the Twin Hickory area and found this place tucked away on the back of a little strip mall. Decent size dining room and the inside was decorated nicely for Christmas. We had fast, polite service, and a pretty standard mexican restaurant menu. We all enjoyed our food. I love a huevos rancheros and they served a version that included beef tips, which was a nice addition. I'd eat there again if the area.
